Child Safety Initiatives
The Child Fatality Review team for the Butts, Lamar and Monroe Counties reviews certain child fatality deaths in our circuit. This team plays an important role by reviewing the deaths with our community partners and considering prevention efforts our communities can put in place. As we work within our agencies to bring better awareness to those we see every day, we want the community and parents to become more aware of safety in swimming, distracted-free driving on Georgia’s roads, and suicide prevention.
