Towaliga Judicial Circuit District Attorney Jonathan L. Adams has announced two appointments to key positions in the prosecutor’s office.

Cindy Adams will join the office in Lamar County in the new year as Deputy Chief Assistant DA, and will assume the role of Chief Assistant DA when Jonathan Adams deploys to the Middle East with his Georgia National Guard unit in the spring. Elizabeth Bobbitt, who has been serving as Chief Assistant DA since November, will become the interim DA when Jonathan Adams deploys. Other new additions include Assistant District Attorney Greg Futch, and Special Investigator Jalaine Ward.

The Towaliga Judicial Circuit includes Butts, Lamar and Monroe counties.

“Cindy brings a wealth of experience from her practice of law of over 30 years,” Jonathan Adams wrote in an email announcing the appointment. “Cindy’s experience includes being managing partner of a law firm, chief assistant solicitor general and supervising assistant district attorney.
