Congratulations to Assistant District Attorneys Michael Parrish and Chris Miranda. Their work along with the City of Jackson Fire Department, Butts County Fire Department, City of Jackson Police and Butts County Coroners’ Office, resulted in some small measure of justice for Margaret Elaine Vega. A jury convicted defendants Steven and Rebecca Yell for Felony Murder, Neglect of an Elder, Exploitation of an Elder, and Battery. Judge William Fears sentenced the defendants to life in prison.
