Court continues during COVID-19.
Our office continues to handle cases in Superior and Probate Court during the current statewide judicial emergency which goes through August 13, 2020. We are practicing social distancing, wearing masks and are prohibited from jury trials. However, we are conducting motion hearings, pleas and arraignments. With Georgia’s judicial emergency extended to June 12th, the Towaliga Judicial Circuit continues to suspend all jury trials and grand juries. The circuit developed a plan to continue moving cases through the system, and will utilize video conferencing to conduct non-jury court days.
